I’d always heard how beautiful a city Barcelona is-it’s streets, buildings, people. It stands for all that and more. I came back from Barcelona not just overwhelmed by the cityscape, but more so by the spirit of it’s people and it’s culture. Thanks to my friends there, we got a chance to enjoy the local cuisine and culture off the touristic track. From ‘Calcots’ , ‘the Grapes’ to the local cuisine. The travelling experience becomes richer when it goes beyond the lonely planet’s and fodor’s. The people you meet during the journey and the places you discover when lost make it memorable. Barcelona left a lasting impression and there shall certainly be more of it in the future.
